Pooja room is a prominent space in the house and thus it is significant in determining the home's overall Vastu. Having the pooja room in the right direction with the correct placement of idols and choosing the best colours according to Vastu calls for a perfect harmony.

TIPS FOR POOJA ROOM VASTU FOR ALL DIRECTIONS

While Vastu for Pooja Room varies for all 8 prime directions. This includes four cardinal directions- north, south, east, west; and four diagonal directions- north-west, north-east, south-west, south east. Let us understand the Vastu for the pooja room depending upon its placement in each direction.

NORTH FACING POOJA ROOM

Per a north face house plan with a pooja room, the ideal position of your pooja room is the northeast part of the house. It is advisable to face the north or the east direction while praying in a north-facing pooja room according to Vastu.

NORTHEAST FACING POOJA ROOM

Northeast facing pooja room in a house plan is considered most ideal as per Vastu shastra. Your pooja room in the northeast facing home improves the Vastu.

NORTHWEST FACING POOJA ROOM

If you have a northwest facing house plan with a pooja room, it is advisable to place your pooja room in the north or west.

SOUTH FACING POOJA ROOM

Placing the idols in the south direction in a south-facing house plan with pooja room, as per Vastu, this corner is not a preferable place to make your mandir. However, in case of unavoidable circumstances, you may want to construct the roof of your pooja room in a triangle shape.

SOUTHEAST FACING POOJA ROOM

A Southeast facing house plan with pooja room should try to avoid having any idols placed in this direction. As per Vastu, the southeast corner is not an ideal option for a pooja room. In unavoidable circumstances, you may use soft colours on the main wall and construct a prayer room with a sloping roof.

SOUTHWEST FACING POOJA ROOM

In the case of a southwest-facing house plan with a pooja room, you may want to shift the idols slightly towards the west or the east and avoid placing them in the proper southwest corner. To make the best of a southwest-facing pooja room, create an open space in the northeast direction of the room.

EAST FACING POOJA ROOM

An east-facing vastu plan with a pooja room is considered ideal after the northeast direction. You can place the idols in the east or the north part in a pooja room in the east-facing house.

WEST FACING POOJA ROOM

A pooja room vastu for west facing house plan is also ideal for the occupants. It is ideal to face the east while praying and have your idol face the west.
