A modern living room

Create a plush and modern living room with a neutral palette, faceted patterns and shimmering silver

When it comes to our living room, we aim for “everyday elegance”. A vibe that is sleek, stylish and definitely modern. And one of the first things to factor in is light – lots of natural light. Given that you are working with a muted colour palette, it is essential you break down the windows to let warm light in. And of course, a wall dado. No modern European look is complete without it. You can use a combination of printed and plain wallpaper separated by a wooden moulding to finish your walls. While this look is all about clean lines, a hint of faceted patterns in terms of mirror frames, pendant lights or even crystal vases will help reflect light and add a touch of luxury to your space. You can interrupt the neutral colours with a hint of green – either succulents or a nice bunch of white lilies will work well to soften the space. Remember, subtlety is the key to acing this look.
