Always divide your space on the coffee table into segments. One that can hold books, another that can hold curios. It’s best to club all your accessories on to a tray, so not only does your coffee table look interesting but is also clutterfree.
If you are working a contemporary Indian aesthetic, then you can replace your coffee tables with a couple of teakwood chests with brass trimmings. You can also use puja elements, like the brass matka as a vase, and a plate as a tray to hold accessories as seen here in Sonya Sapru’s home in Delhi.
