If you want your four-poster to be fairytale perfect, then opt for light, billowing curtains on all sides. We love the play of a partially exposed concrete ceiling and ocean blue floor in the whitewashed bedroom. You could also install a few potted plants for a touch of that fresh green.
If you like to be close to your roots, then opt for a more traditional pattern and adorn it with earthy colours such as russet orange, beige and brown. To complete the look, place a small knotted settee at the foot of the bed.
