The Inner Temple, Kyo Spaces, Goa

Doing white the right way, The Inner Temple in collaboration with Kyo Spaces, Goa shows us how to beautifully accessorise this blank canvas

An all-white, minimal space has the potential to be airy and calm. It can also take on a stark turn that can be too severe. This co-working space has been decorated perfectly with just enough colour to bring the boutique property to life. When choosing the correct shade of white for your home, keep in mind the undertones – creamy yellow undertones add a warm, cosy vibe while blue undertones are for crisp, cool settings.

The ivory colour has been balanced with a smorgasbord of intricately designed tiles with repeating patterns to invigorate each room. Each area is demarcated using different patterned tiles. The trick is to choose patterns that are varied but have similar themes like florals or colour schemes like the greys and blues used here. Floor to ceiling windows, French doors and an open layout allow for the flow of natural light within the villa.

When accessorising your all-white home with furniture and décor accents, take a cue from this space by mixing traditional and vintage inspired pieces with a few streamlined and minimal items.

Dark counters work beautifully in minimal kitchens. Go in for marbled effect or browns and greys rather than flat or glossy black; it will add warmth instead of a stark contrast.
Mix vintage inspired and intricately carved pieces with a natural wood finish and simple lines to bring life to your all-white abode. Add a pop of colour, ceramics and brass accents to warm up a minimal space.
Make as much use of an open layout as is possible in your home; consider high arched doorways, French doors and large windows wherever possible to flood the space with natural light.
