A plush modern getaway in Argentina sits amid a lush garden fringed by distant mountains
If your heart like ours finds its own in country living albeit with modern flourishes then Fabrizio and Valentina’s home at the foot of Andes, is what you can call home. A refurbished country house, it reflects local, traditional architecture and comfortable, plush interiors inside. It was in 2006, when the couple decided to move that Fabrizio fell in love with the landscapes of Northwest Argentina, and especially the Puna.
White walls combined with double height ceilings with a rush of natural light give this space a very chic vibe. It’s a pared down look with a heavy dose of white linens, bare woods, and a handful of Mid-century modern classics along side a few antique finds. Woven ponchos, artefacts and utility items made by local artisans adorn the interiors of the same. The elements in this house have been chosen by the couple on their travels to different places; with every little thing bearing its own story.
Our favourite part of the house is the bathroom in the superior room with its antique basin, a spacious bench and a huge mirror, with a separate rain head shower room. Who needs a spa when one has this at their disposal?
