Flowers & Plants: I go to two nurseries in Mumbai – Green Grower in Bandra (W) and Lila Nursery at Santacruz (W)
Paints: I use Asian Paints. Apart from their several colours, they also have interesting wall textures to choose from. I particular like the Royale Play International Designer Collection.
Furniture: I really like Iqrup + Ritz a lot. I also buy from Defurn, R House and Pinakin.
Antiques: Oshiwara juna bazaar in Mumbai is a great place for antiques.
Industrial Furniture and Accents: Well, almost all the industrial furniture you see in India is manufactured in Jodhpur by a handful of vendors. I mainly source from Kernig Krafts and Infiniti India.
Soft Furnishing: For upholstery, I go to a small shop called NP Parekh in Santacruz (W), Mumbai. He has a wide variety of good fabrics. For curtains, I’ve been going to Tresorie, also in Santacruz (W), that stocks a lot of DCtex textiles.
Lights: Lohar Chawl in Kalbadevi, Mumbai is my go-to place. There’s a shop there called V Lights that not only has interesting products that work for me but also helps customise lights to fit my requirements. There’s also Lighting World in Andheri (W) and JB Home Store in Navi Mumbai.
Modular Kitchens: I have two main Mumbai based vendors for kitchens - Grandeur Interiors in Lower Parel and Techno Kitchens in Sion (E). Both of them have ranges from aboard. Techno Kitchens also has its own manufacturing unit for local designs. Plus, they are great with their service.
Wallpaper: I really like Ego.
Art Prints: Recently, I bought some from Kulture Shop. But most often, I end up creating custom prints to suit the restaurant interiors I’m working on.
Bathroom Hardware: Yashtorium - a little shop in Vile Parle (W), Mumbai.
Contemporary Indian Accents: Good earth and Dhoop. Walking into Good earth is like being transported into another land...
Kitchenware: A mix of places like Good earth and Shoppers Stop’s HomeStop. And I make chopping boards myself for my brand 42 Design Studio.
