Black and wood are the perfect playmates to add easy luxury to any space

Saying black is back would presume it went away. It didn’t. What's different now though, is its stylish new avatar that can be found in everything from cutlery and linen to paint and wallpaper in a variety of finishes that you can work into your home easily.
1. Power playmates - Try a lightly textured or minimally patterned matte black wall with earthy, wooden furniture or hardwood floors when you want to make a powerful, yet sleek statement. Paint a smaller piece of furniture in a glossy black to optimal effect.
2. Work the quirk - Add personality to a space by choosing accessories that you can switch up and refresh through the year. Upcycle a ceramic, glazed pickle jar as a vase, add a typography frame, trendy industrial lighting, metallic touches in gold, brass or pewter or some retro memorabilia to show off your unique style.
Design schemes are getting ever bolder and just like in fashion, black is now versatile even in decor. Balance it with flowers and luxe fabrics for a softer vibe or pick out film posters, leather and brick to grunge it up
