Create a festive, floral centerpiece for your dining table this Diwali
This Diwali, we are definitely going to up our hosting game – from card parties to family get-togethers, we are keen to make this a fun affair. While the living room is all catered to thanks to decoration ideas by Sruthi we are now turning our focus to the dining table. We have put together a quick floral arrangement that will move from day to night effortlessly, with just addition of some candles, and will last you through the 4 days of Diwali.

You will need a small piece of oasis, a lantern and a bunch of bright and colourful flowers.
Start by making sure that the oasis is moist. Dip it in a bowl of water and let it drain for a minute. The oasis shouldn’t be crumbly to touch. Trim your flowers to a length you need. Start at the centre with some leaves.
Once the centre is ready, introduce your largest flower; here we used a dark pink Tiger Lily.
Then add in more colourful flowers. Brighter they are, better your arrangement will look.
You can place the entire arrangement in a beaten brass plate to add definition to your setting.
hrow in a battery operated candle (this will ensure that the petals don’t burn out from the heat of an open fire from a regular tea light), and you are all set. Tip: Sprinkle water every day to ensure the oasis stays moist and your flowers last long.
