When it comes to decorating an empty wall, many of us can’t even figure out if we want to commit to prints or posters, large frames or grids. Especially when you’re renting, redecorating often feels tedious and expensive. But it doesn’t have to be.
Enter washi tape - a cool Japanese import that has taken the Internet by storm. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s as easy on your walls as it is on your wallet. Besides being readily available in an infinity of patterns and colours, it is best of all, low tack and temporary just like the tattoos we had as kids. All you need is a great idea, a quick stencil and a steady hand to execute any number of cool ‘arty’ designs. When bored, simply rip it off, and you’re ready for a speedy redesign.

2 Steps to a fun washi tape wall decor idea:
1. Trace the outline of the chart paper onto the wall with a pencil.
2. Stick on strips of the washi tape along the lines of the shape outline.
