2. Prep the Lamp for a Paint

• Cover any electronic or electric sockets with newspaper or painter’s tape

You can then prep the lamp frame for a primer and a paint coat. Ensure that you wear a painter’s mask and goggles to prevent any of the sanding dust from entering your nose, eyes, or mouth.

3. Prime and Paint

After you have done the sanding process on the lamp frame, you can go ahead with applying a primer and paint on the lamp frame and stem. Make sure you do so in thin coats multiple times, and not one thick coat of the paint. Also, make sure that you select the correct primer and paint for your lamp frame. This entire process can take anywhere between a couple of hours to an entire night - depending on various factors like the size of the lamp frame, the paint you have used, etc. Please ensure that the paint is dry before you bring the lamp back into your home - nothing should be sticky or tacky.

4. Refurbish the Lampshade
