Take the party outdoors this season with this easy DIY setup that is equal parts rustic and romantic
It’s that time of the year when you no longer need a reason to party. Move the celebrations outdoors to make the most of this gorgeous weather. Don’t worry if you don’t have the choicest of outdoor furniture, we didn't too. So we did the next best thing we know – thrifting. We threw in a few wooden crates (sourced from our local scrap dealer), lay a sheet of ply on it, piled on some warm woolly cushions, a soft rug, a super comfy throw (all in neutral shades), and we had the beginning of a rustic table setup ready.
Buying things off the shelf might make it quick and easy but we would rather craft the details. There’s an unspeakable joy in the handmade. It speaks of love, time and thoughtfulness. And that’s why we envisioned our tablescape to be handmade with love – a chandelier fashioned out of pages of our favourite book, block printed mats and floral napkin rings – finished with a bunch of fresh flowers.
Whether you work together or share a meal, you exchange stories and make new ones. With this DIY table setup, we hope you can craft not only a beautiful outdoor setting but also set the mood for the year to come.
