The show apartment at The Crest by DLF5 in Gurgaon is a lesson in creating a warm, inviting space with a two-tone colour palette
It’s difficult to imagine turning an empty space into a home, it is after all a daunting task to start with a blank canvas. Which is why show homes come in handy, as they give you an idea of what your home can look like, the colours, patterns and textures you can use.
Recently, DLF5 unveiled its four sample show flats for DLF Crest and we can’t help but admire their warm, home-like quality. While most show flats seem cold and uninviting, this green haven by ID Design with an Art Deco vibe is a respite from the usual marble fest we have so often come across. The open, light-filled space has an almost tropical feel. The thoughtfully curated gold and black and white accents serve to highlight the effect of the Asian Paints Royale Atmos Crystal Green colour on the walls. The padded, soft edged furniture lends itself to the languid, laid-back vibe induced by the combination of colours.
We can absolutely picture our home looking something like this – light, breezy and with just the right hints of drama.
