Novelty in the old city Room Therapy

An elegantly curated collection of décor pieces from India and around the world make up the Room Therapy store in Hyderabad

Exposed brick walls, tall columns that never seem to end and tastefully curated décor accessories sourced painstakingly from around the world- the Room Therapy store in Hyderabad brings all these elements together.  Founded by interior designer Sona Reddy, the store features her collection of customised furniture consisting of console tables, chairs, coffee tables and side tables to name a few, besides pieces that she curates and sources. The store interiors have been designed by Sona herself.

At the entrance, a deep blue door and a large light fixture right above it, made of mesh and approximately 300 bulbs greets customers as they walk in, setting the tone for the calming interiors within. Colourful retro floor tiles add another dimension to the decor. Industrial style shelves run through the length of the interiors as display areas for the products, which are diverse, ranging from distressed vintage furniture pieces, décor accents with detailed bone inlay work and stone figurines.  Sona says the philosophy behind the curation is to guide customers on how to create a big impact through smaller decor pieces, when limited by space constraints.

What we love is the warm, earthy mix of textures in the store- the exposed brick wall and the room set-ups within the store that allow you to see how the furniture and décor pieces on display can be put together in your own home.
