A unique art rental service, Harth is your all access pass to the beautiful world of art
Our homes are almost always a work in progress, which comes into its own with mementos from each new travel, that pick from last week's flea market, and sometimes with that candle we bought, just because. Heck, we are also loyalists to some real cool furniture renting places, which allows us to rejig our space every so often. However, the one thing that stumps us almost always is art. Affordability and availability, under one roof, is almost impossible. Hence, when we heard about Harth, we were quite thrilled. A sharing platform that lets its members rent art, it was founded by writer and curator Henrietta Thompson and her husband and business partner Edward Padmore. Harth aims to make art accessible for all – be it for a short-term or a long-term basis. However, what we love about it is that it allows people to share their passion for art with each other. So, instead of just renting art for your apartment, you can put up your pieces to give others on rent as well. What’s more, if you are looking for an artwork and they don’t have it, the good folks at Harth will source it for you.
While for now Harth has only started this service in London, we can’t wait for it to come to Indian shores soon.
