The Jamini Design store in Paris offers cues on how to achieve a laidback bohemian look
The interiors of Jamini Design’s store in the hip 10th arrondissement neighbourhood of Paris offers some simple cues on achieving a laidback, bohemian look at home. The interiors marry handwoven Indian textiles with a casual chic French sensibility that would appeal to any well traveled aesthete, and we can’t get enough of the colour palette and materials used to bring this look together.
Usha Bora, an Indian expat who settled in France, is the founder of this charming lifestyle brand- and its Indian roots are evident in its product collection as well as in the interior design of the store. We love how the traditional charpoy has been styled with the brand’s handwoven textiles, against a brilliant vibrant blue wall. Consider using cane/ rattan accents when you have a vibrant colour palette like this deep blue. Pair a woven bench styled like a charpoy with a set of cushions to create a cosy corner in your home. Accessorise this with an indoor plant that sits pretty inside a woven cane basket and you have the perfect recipe for a simple yet tasteful corner.
Vintage photographs pasted on the wall with visible tape is a charming way to avoid drilling holes in your walls.
The wooden flooring complements the blue wall palette.
