Year after year, as a part of its forecast process, Asian Paints maps consumer behaviour, consumption patterns, socio-cultural sentiments and lifestyle shifts. Working across several institutions, and with prominent figures and professionals in the industry, the team holds competitions, interviews and workshops to finally create the colour forecast. For 2022, the Colour of the Year is Transcendent Pink—a grey-hued purple with blue and red undertones that quietly encourages the power of embracing change.
The past couple of years have been a constant series of changes. What started as an uncomfortable experience in isolation led to seeking ways to thrive in a new definition of normal—discovering ourselves, and having time to reflect on our lives till now.
