The rustic interiors and raw, inviting charm in this countryside style retreat will give you home goals
It’s not very often that we see countryside inspired interiors in India as this style is synonymous with European and American boroughs. So, it was quite interesting to see The Villa, Goa bring this rustic and raw décor style to India.
Some materials essential to this style are cane, wicker and wood, all of which are used extensively in The Villa. You could also get your hands on large wicker chairs with soft cushions with a low cane side table to recreate this look. The key is to be restrained, yet not sparse. Think more on the lines of a rustic, organic setting where mix-and-match works beautifully, giving the impression of having been thoughtfully curated.
If you do not have a verandah or porch to setup such a dining experience, think about placing a small table and two-three chairs in the balcony for an alfresco meal setting. For the greenery, get your hands on a money plant or any other creeper that would grow downwards.
Effectively utilise large, bare walls – show off your art collection within thick, dark wood frames to create a gallery of your own.
Only the sleep essentials find their place in this Jaisalmer stone bedroom. Take a cue or two from here to declutter and organize your own sleeping alcove.
